David Teten Photo

David Teten is CEO of Teten Advisors, which specializes in advising private equity and venture capital funds on accelerating deal flow, strategy consulting for portfolio companies, and due diligence. He was previously a Managing Director with Evalueserve, a 2,500-person global research and analytics company. Among Evalueserve's 1,100 clients are 6 of the top 10 investment banking entities and 10 of the top 15 strategy consulting firms. David was previously Founder and CEO of Circle of Experts, an investment research firm acquired by Evalueserve. He was also formerly Founder and CEO of Teten Recruiting, an executive recruiting firm acquired by Accolo, #42 on the 2007 Inc. 500 list.

David was also formerly Founder and CEO of GoldNames, an investment bank focusing on serving the internet domain name asset class, which he built to 450 customers. He worked with Bear Stearns' Investment Banking division as a member of their technology/defense mergers and acquisitions team, and was a strategy consultant with Mars & Co. He sits on the Advisory Boards of Accolo, Grouply, Profitably, REonomy, Dancetime Publications, and the Word of Mouth Marketing Association. David holds a Harvard MBA and a Yale BA, both with honors.

David is the lead author of The Virtual Handshake: Opening Doors and Closing Deals Online, with Scott Allen. The Virtual Handshake was the first book about how you can originate investment opportunities, raise capital, and win new clients with online networks, blogs, and other Web 2.0 technologies. He also led the first-ever study of best practices of venture capital and private equity funds in originating new deals. Harvard Business Review, Worth, and FastCompany.com have all published his work.

David is a frequent keynote speaker to audiences such as Franklin Templeton; Association for Corporate Growth; the Vistage CEO Community; Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors; World Hedge Funds Summit; Kauffman Fellows program; CFA Institute; and IRC Alternative Investment Summit. He has served as faculty with Founder Institute, Levin Institute (Project JumpStart), and other educational programs for entrepreneurs. He has received the highest ratings of any speaker at three different conferences. David lives in New York with his family and two laptops.

Scott Lichtman Photo

Scott Lichtman is a product marketing and operations executive who has led the growth of 'new economy' technologies and services for over 20 years. Most recently, Scott has served as a Managing Director at Evalueserve, a global research and analytics company. He joined Evalueserve after serving as COO of Circle of Experts, a network of tens of thousands of industry executives that advise investment firms and corporations,which Evalueserve acquired in 2007.

Earlier, Scott led Messaging Products and Marketing at Communicator Inc., supporting real-time interactions among thousands of institutional investors; served as Senior Director of Marketing at InterWorld, e-commerce engine for Nike, Disney, GTE and others; co-founded Economic Oxygen, a provider of banking services to low-income households; was Senior Director of Strategic Marketing at Oracle Corporation, and Advanced IT Strategy Consultant at Deloitte Consulting.

Scott speaks regularly on topics including the use of Web 2.0 technologies and has written analyst reports on topics ranging from developing online communities to pricing strategies in the technology industry. As a member of Harvard Business School''s Community Partners non-profit consulting initiative, he is currently advising a climate control advocacy group on creating a parallel, for-profit service model.

He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an M.Sc. in Economics from the London School of Economics (U.S. Marshall Scholar), and a B.Sc. from MIT in Computer Science.

Trevino Photo

Raul Trevino is a former investment banking analyst at Citi’s Latin America group in New York City. During his three years at Citi, he advised both strategic and financial clients on a variety of transactions including local and cross border mergers and acquisitions. Selected buy-side advisory transactions include the $553 million acquisition of two toll road concessions in Chile by Spanish infrastructure firm, GlobalVia, and the $180 million acquisition of Salvadorian utility company, DelSur, by U.S. based private equity firm, AEI. Selected sell-side advisory transactions include the $3.1 billion acquisition of Mexico’s largest flat steel processor Grupo Imsa by Argentine steel giant Ternium and the 51% acquisition of Cemex Capital, a subsidiary of Mexican cement multinational, Cemex by a group of local private equity investors. Additionally, Raul provided a fairness opinion to a Special Committee selected by the Board in relation to the $450 million merger of Argentine private equity Pampa Holding and Electricidad Argentina S.A. Although offered the promotion to Associate, Raul left Citi in the summer of 2008 to pursue an entrepreneurial opportunity in the Mexican real estate sector. Raul holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and is in the process of completing a Columbia Business School MBA.

Dadoo Photo

Abhishek Dadoo has six years of work experience in project finance and strategy consulting. He worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers Singapore in their advisory practice. In his role as a fund raising advisor for companies in Asia, he developed information memoranda and marketed investment opportunities to institutional investors across Asia. Having performed commercial and financial due diligence for energy projects in Asia, he has a deep understanding of emerging market risks and its implications for private equity investors. Prior to joining PricewaterhouseCoopers, Singapore, Abhishek was a strategy consultant with Altman Vilandrie & Company based in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. As an experienced analyst, he led the financial modeling work stream on due diligence engagements in the telecom and media sectors. At Altman Vilandrie & Company he also developed marketing and sales channel strategies for prominent communications service providers in the U.S. Abhishek holds a dual degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from The College of Wooster, Ohio. He is currently pursuing his MBA at INDEAD, graduating in December 2010. He is the president of the INSEAD Private Equity Club (“IPEC”) and is responsible for organizing the second IPEC Asia conference in October 2010.
